REGISTRATION AND HOUSING ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2008 NAB EUROPEAN CONFERENCE
WASHINGTON, DC – Online housing and registration are now available for the 16th annual NAB European Conference, held 26-29 October at the Hilton London Metropole. This year's conference will explore the changing landscape of audio and video broadcasting, and will include the debut of the NAB European Post-Production Conference, a three-day technical training program focusing on production practices in broadcasting, film and video.
"Last year's record-high attendance of over 700 industry professionals from 48 countries confirms that the NAB European Conference continues to be the place for European broadcasters to discuss issues affecting the audio and video industry," said Margaret Cassilly, vice president of international operations at NAB. "We are expecting this year's conference to be better than ever, with world-renowned media experts teaching new sessions and providing new insights into the current trends and changes in the broadcasting community."
The NAB European Conference will include sessions focusing on radio, podcasting, and post-production. During the European Radio Conference (27 & 28 October), leaders in the radio community will convene to discuss the key issues and new revenue opportunities facing radio today. The European Podcasting Conference (26 October), produced in partnership with Future Media Concepts (FMC), will equip participants with the technical and creative tools necessary to improve podcasts. The Post-Production Conference, also produced by FMC, will provide attendees with training on the latest production, post-production and delivery practices for film video, and the new media industries.
The 2008 NAB European Conference is being supported by several principal organizations in Europe including: The Association Européene des Radios (AER), Association of Television and Radio Sales Houses, GCap, RadioCentre, International Webcasting Association Europe (IWA) The Radio Adacemy, and WorldDMB.
