Bob Cohen

Bob Cohen is President of the International Radio Division of Clear Channel Communications which, along with its international partners, oversees operations of 240 radio stations in Australia, New Zealand and Mexico programming 20 formats with more than 17 million listeners weekly and over 2,000 employees. Cohen has served in his present role since 2001. Cohen’s international experience with Clear Channel also includes involvement with broadcast business operations in Norway, Denmark, United Kingdom, Czech Republic and Switzerland.  His career with Clear Channel spans 21 years and has also included experience as a sales representative, general sales manager and Vice President and Market Manager. Clear Channel is an international media company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas in the United States.

Prior to joining Clear Channel, Cohen worked for 11 years in radio, publishing, sports broadcasting and sports marketing in Dallas, Texas and Kansas City, Missouri. His extensive experience includes broadcasting, broadcast sales, event and entertainment marketing, media relations, professional and collegiate sports marketing and promotions. 

Cohen is involved with various civic and industry organizations.  He is active with the Texas Association of Broadcasters and served as its Chairman in 2004-2005. He is also an active board member of the Valero Alamo Bowl, San Antonio’s annual post season collegiate football bowl game and served as its Chairman in 2006, executive committee member of the board of directors of the Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital Foundation, board member of the Valero Texas Open professional golf tour event, national board member of the College of Mass Communications at Texas Tech University and member of the Athletics Advisory Council to the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Cohen is a native of San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1979 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.  He and his wife Pam have three children – Matthew 16, Emily 13 and Benjamin 9.
