
Jason Bryant

Jason is a well-known and highly regarded radio entrepreneur with a rare mix of expertise across national, regional and local radio.
He has a successful track record in launching and developing innovative and successful local commercial radio services. In the last year Jason has consolidated the interests of Town and Country Broadcasting to become the leading Welsh-based media company. Jason started his career at BBC Radio Solent where he worked across news and programmes, before moving to London's LBC as a producer and editor on a raft of high-profile shows, including Michael Parkinson and Andrew Neil on Sunday. He moved to television as a producer, working with Sir David Frost and GMTV, before returning to radio as a producer and editor at London's BBC GLR. In 1994 he moved to Scotland as Programme Director to launch Scot FM, from where he was head-hunted to the national commercial speech station Talk Radio, where he became Programme Director. He left the station in 1997 to work as a consultant with the management team at BBC Radio 5 Live.
Following Kelvin MacKenzie's acquisition of Talk Radio in 1998, Jason returned to the station as Development Director, and subsequently Managing Director to re-launch the service as talkSPORT. Jason joined SMG plc in February 2003 and was promoted to lead its radio development projects and develop its DAB digital radio brands. Jason remains a consultant to Virgin Radio. Jason has been a director of Radio Pembrokeshire since its launch and in 2006, his company, Town and Country Broadcasting, bought the Radio Pembrokeshire Group of stations, Bridge FM and launched Swansea Bay Radio
Jason has served on the CRCA Board and has been a judge for the Sony Radio Awards.
