Keri Jones is the UK expert in delivering profits and high ratings in a small market radio station. Keri specialises in helping radio stations develop affordable but engaging content that both advertisers and listeners love.
Keri developed his strategy at Radio Pembrokeshire, the UK’s most successful local radio station, which he founded and managed. Despite Pembrokeshire’s economic problems, Keri built a hugely profitable radio business through his creative approach to revenue generation and unique ideas for reducing overheads. Under Keri’s control, Radio Pembrokeshire continually achieved around 40% share, the highest RAJAR ratings in UK radio. The station was awarded the Arqiva “Commercial station of the year” title in both 2005 and 2006 in recognition of audience levels and profitability.
Keri created the Radio Pembrokeshire group by launching a magazine and two additional radio stations, Radio Carmarthenshire and Scarlet FM that became market leaders in their areas.
After selling his stake in the group in summer 2006, Keri has been in demand from radio stations that want to improve their performance. He’s been working with Town and Country Broadcasting, Forward Media, Tindle Radio Group and the BBC while he has been preparing his most challenging project so far!
Keri has just launched Radio Scilly, the world’s smallest radio station, on the Isles of Scilly, 28 miles off South West England. Here, Keri is using his creative approach to deliver non-traditional revenue and airtime sales in a market of 1,700 adults!
