Mark is Controller, Multiplatform & Interactive, where he leads new digital services and content for BBC Audio & Music. This includes developing BBC A&M’s strategy for DAB, Online, mobile and DTV platforms, and key enabling strategies such as navigation and technology.
Mark’s focus is on understanding what today’s audiences want from the BBC, and creating the means by which they can find and access compelling BBC content wherever and whenever they choose.
Prior to his current appointment, Mark led strategy development for BBC TV, radio and new media services in the UK. He co-authored the key BBC policy document, Building Public Value, and led the development of the BBC digital services vision for the next decade.
Before joining the BBC, Mark spent several years developing and launching new businesses at ITN and five years as a senior consultant at Coopers & Lybrand.
